Paul Wearing: Out of my Head
Kemistry Gallery is pleased to announce their latest exhibition — Paul Wearing, Out of my Head.
Paul Wearing is a London-based artist and illustrator. Since graduating from the Royal College of Art, Paul has established himself as one of the UK’s most prolific illustrators. Working extensively throughout the US, UK and Far East, with fashion, interior and advertising houses. The influence of his design background is evident in much of his illustration and has led to high profile campaign work as well as large-scale architectural installations. Projects have ranged from creating huge murals at General Mills’ corporate headquarters, to producing a multitude of imagery for luxury US retailer Neiman Marcus, and contributing to a worldwide campaign for United Airlines.
Paul is a keen visionary, experimenting with different techniques and styles, to create a distinctive visual language. His work is characterised by the employment of simple lines, patterns and strong colour to create beautiful, human silhouettes or concepts. This utilisation of graphic and iconic elements allows for the construction of an image that is able to communicate often complex ideas in a simple and sophisticated manner. His work has appeared in numerous illustration and design annuals including, Communication Arts, Design and Art Direction, and the Association of Illustrators’ Images.
Out of my Head will feature a selection of personal and commissioned images, including a number of signed print editions, which will be available for purchase in the gallery.
