RA X: 10 years of Resident Advisor

Resident Advisor, the world’s leading online electronic music magazine, will exhibit the artwork of their ten year anniversary event series at Kemistry this autumn. Back in May RA announced plans to throw ten parties in ten cities in celebration of their tenth anniversary. The line-up for each RA X event was curated by RA and a mystery headliner, who was referred to beforehand as the “X.” The X’s identity has been kept a closely guarded secret until they take to the stage for their performance.

A different designer was also enlisted to create a limited edition hand silk-screened poster for each event, which have been produced in runs of 75 by K2 in London. The designers were selected based on their work and collaborations within electronic music and represent some of the leading names in the field—Trevor Jackson, Simon Cook, Stefan Marx, Zeke Clough, Erosie, Albert Bertolin, Will Bankhead, Michael Cina, The Designers Republic and Laurent Fetis were all involved in contributing works to the series.

Between them, the group have created some of electronic music’s most icon sleeve design and artwork of the last 10+ years; from international artists such as Actress, Aphex Twin, Autechre Unkle, James Blake, Shackleton, Soulwax and The Stereo MCs, through to similarly renowned labels like Warp, Ghostly International, Honest Jons, Skull Disco, Mo Wax, SmallVille and 3024.

Throughout the exhibition prints will be available to purchase both in store and online.
